Michelle Peterson
Medicine Horse Journey
Michelle Peterson has devoted her life to exploring the healing intelligence shared between horses and humans. With over two decades of training in the healing arts—including Somatic Life Coaching, Energetic Healing, and Equine-Inspired Learning—Michelle’s work bridges nervous system regulation, emotional awareness, and the instinctual wisdom of the horse. Through her Medicine Horse programs, she helps people slow down, feel deeply, and reconnect to the calm, coherent field that horses naturally embody.
Rooted in her own lineage of service—her grandfather a veteran—Michelle holds a special calling to support veterans and others navigating trauma, guiding them toward the peace and presence found through the horse’s steady nervous system. Her work and philosophy are featured in the upcoming documentary Rescued Hearts Film, highlighting the profound relationship between horses, healing, and the human spirit.

Andrew Bailey
USMC Veteran, Purple Heart Recipient & Ukraine Veteran
Andrew is a United States Marine Corps infantry veteran from Texas. He grew up working on a ranch, where he developed an early connection with horses. Andrew served two tours in Afghanistan, and on his second tour he was wounded in combat and medically retired. After leaving the Marines he served in Ukraine as a marksman and tactical instructor. Through it all, he rediscovered his connection with horses. Their quiet strength, patience, and intuition gave him grounding and clarity, helping him process the weight of his experiences.
"Working with horses became more than therapy—it became a purpose. I realized that the focus, discipline, and trust that carried me through combat could also guide others toward healing." Andrew volunteers because he wants to give back to the veteran community. He believes riding horses is a powerful therapeutic tool for anyone dealing with war-related trauma. Overall his goal is to help fellow veterans regain control over their lives, right wrongs, and get back to living life in a healthy way.
