Diane

Diane (“Little D”) was the first horse donated to Debrief after the passing of her owner, Lindsay, a close friend of one of the organization’s founders. Arriving as a filly, Diana has been with the program for six months and has already demonstrated exceptional potential. She is intelligent, quick to learn, and easy to ride.

Although she occasionally displays the traditional “red mare” attitude, her overall temperament is remarkably sweet and personable. Our goal is for Little D to remain a valued member of Debrief for many years, contributing to the growth and success of both the horses and participants she serves.

Blue

Blue is a senior paint gelding who was generously donated to Debrief by Cristina. He is easily recognized by his distinctive Roman nose and striking ice-blue eye, making him a recognizable horse in the herd. Although Blue is one of the taller horses in the program, he is known for his gentle demeanor and calm temperament. His steady nature makes him approachable and dependable for riders of varying experience levels.

Blue excels as a beginner-friendly trail horse. Comfortable traveling with a group, he provides a reliable and confidence-building experience for new riders. His willingness to follow the pack and maintain a relaxed attitude makes him an ideal partner for those developing their riding skills. With his unique appearance and dependable personality, Blue continues to be a valued member of the Debrief herd and an important part of the program's success.

Cisco

His relaxed nature and dependable attitude make him a valuable member of the herd and a pleasure to be around. A reliable trail horse, Cisco excels in providing riders with a safe and enjoyable experience.

His steady demeanor allows him to adapt well to a variety of situations, making him a trusted partner both on the trail and within the program. Cisco’s gentle personality and dependable character continue to make him an important part of the Debrief family.

Patsy is one of the senior mares in the Debrief herd and brings a wealth of experience to the program. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of roles, including ranch work and providing riding lessons for children. Known for her versatility, reliability, and calm disposition, Patsy has proven herself to be a dependable partner in many different settings. Her extensive background has helped shape her into an exceptional teaching horse.

Patsy is especially valuable for beginner riders, providing a steady and forgiving presence that helps build confidence and develop foundational riding skills. Her patient nature and proven experience make her an important member of the Debrief herd and a trusted partner for riders.

Roxanne

Roxanne is the only Belgian horse in the Debrief herd and one of the program’s more senior horses. She was rescued from a kill pen and brought to Debrief after completing a quarantine period. Upon arrival, Roxanne required rehabilitation to restore her weight and improve her overall health. She has made significant strides and is now a healthy and valued member of the herd.

Roxanne excels as a teaching horse. Her steady disposition makes her an excellent fit for the round pen program, where she helps participants develop confidence and a deeper understanding of horse behavior. Roxanne’s story is one of resilience, and she serves as a wonderful reminder of the impact that compassion and second chances can have.

Cannoli

Cannoli is the second paint gelding donated to Debrief by Jean. Since arriving, Cannoli has shown remarkable personal growth. Initially reserved, he has steadily developed into a more self-assured and capable horse through consistent training and positive experiences.

Cannoli has made significant progress as a trail horse, demonstrating willingness and adaptability. His development highlights both his resilient nature and his potential for continued success. As he continues to gain experience and confidence, Cannoli remains a valued member of the Debrief herd and an excellent example of the positive results that come from thoughtful horsemanship.

Sass

Sass is an 8-year-old bay mare with a strong work ethic and plenty of personality. Over the past year, she has worked in a feedlot, where her energy, confidence, and natural leadership qualities have made her a standout member of the herd. True to her name, Sass is an opinionated mare who isn't afraid to express herself, embodying the spirited nature for which mares are often known.

Since joining Debrief, Sass has begun her conditioning and training to learn the skills required for her new role. Although she is still early in the process, she has already demonstrated remarkable potential. Her intelligence, boldness, and ability to connect with those around her suggest she will become a valuable member of the Debrief herd.

Bubba is the newest gelding to join the Debrief herd. Named for his distinctive bottom lip, he brings a gentle and easygoing presence to the program.Prior to arriving at Debrief, Bubba was turned out on a property in Texas. After a month of reconditioning and foundational work, he was transported to Debrief to begin his transition into program life. Bubba has adapted well to his new surroundings and demonstrates a calm, willing temperament. His gentle nature and relaxed demeanor make him a pleasure to handle and work with.
